Chelsie made her SpeakEasy Stage debut in Justin Huertas' Lizard Boy - a three-person indie rock musical full of heart, told through a comic book lens. As anti-hero Siren, Chelsie played ukulele, piano, melodica, glockenspiel, percussion, kazoo, and stomped all over the stage in six inch heels.
Siren, played by Chelsie Nectow, enters as a formidable and captivating antagonist, injecting tension and excitement into the production. Nectow delivers a spellbinding performance...Her vocal agility, precise intonation during rapid slides, gritty power, and softer ballad moments showcase masterful control, making every note a standout. -The Poplar Review
Chelsie Nectow as Siren is sheer succubus magnetism, her Broadway-caliber voice filling the theater while still reserving softness for vulnerable moments. -New England Theatre Geek
Chelsie Nectow is a powerhouse as Siren. Her stage presence is magnetic, and her vocals are absolutely electric. Chelsie also shines in her inventive musicianship. Her comedic instincts are sharp, and she balances the character's chaotic energy with moments of surprising vulnerability. As the only woman in the trio, she brings fierce energy and depth. -Booked and Scene

On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Chelsie performed her new solo cabaret show to a SOLD OUT
house in the Majestic Theater's Torch Song series. Featuring tunes from the Great American Songbook, classic country, 60s pop, musical theatre, and more!

Of her Fall 2023 performance as Alice in BRIGHT STAR, also at the Majestic Theater, critics said, “Nectow is not only a phenomenal singer, the performer is simply tremendous as Alice… Thanks to Nectow’s steadfast approach, Alice is proven to have the most depth and growth..and we simply feel privileged to be along that journey with her.”
-Kevin T. Baldwin, METR Magazine
“Alice is played with aplomb by Chelsie Nectow, who manages the 16-year-old version of herself brilliantly. As the older editor of Asheville Southern Journal, she is equally impressive. Her singing is the equal of her acting, and in songs like “Way Back in the Day” and “I Had a Vision” she is perfection.”
-J. Peter Bergman, The Berkshire Edge
